More tha a century ago, in 1885, Krakatau aka Krakatoa erupted violently, caused more than 36,000 fatalities, most as a result of devastating tsunamis that swept the adjacent coastlines of Sumatra and Java.
Almost the whole Krakatau Island is gone. For the past 80 years, Anak Krakatau (son of Krakatau) emerges from the sea and still growing bigger.

Rent a fishing boat from Anyer or Labuan.
